Voice cloning

Japanese 声のクローン(ボイスクローン)

Voice cloning is a technology where AI learns from a short recording and makes a voice that sounds like that person, so it can read any text aloud. It makes narration easy, but using someone's voice without their consent can break the rules or help scams.

Voice cloning means letting an AI listen to recordings of one person and then having it read any text in a voice that sounds like them. It is a bit like a good impressionist who copies someone's way of speaking after hearing them briefly. ElevenLabs' quick method recommends about one to two minutes of clean audio, while its more detailed method needs at least 30 minutes of audio plus identity checks, and only works for your own voice.

Watch out Only use your own voice or a voice whose owner has clearly agreed. ElevenLabs' use policy bans cloning a living person's voice without consent and bans using recordings of anyone under 18 to build a voice. Scammers also copy family members' voices to ask for money, so do not trust a voice alone: hang up and call back on a number you already know.
