Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Japanese アマゾン ウェブ サービス(AWS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud service that rents out servers, storage and other computing resources over the internet. Many websites and apps run on it.

AWS lets you rent computing power instead of buying your own servers, and pay for what you need. It is like renting a single floor of a building rather than constructing the whole thing. A hosting company rents you a place for your website; AWS is a bigger shop where you can pick servers, storage, databases and even AI tools. It is a part of Amazon, separate from the shopping site.

Watch out Your own hosting company may be running on AWS behind the scenes. When AWS appears in security news, it does not mean your site is in danger. Read it as a reminder to check settings and updates on whatever service you use. In Project Glasswing, AWS is listed as a launch partner that uses Claude Mythos Preview in its own defensive security work.
